TRANSITIONING TO ADULTHOOD – CONSIDERATIONS and CONVERSATIONS FOR YOUNG ADULTS WITH EPILEPSY
This webinar will focus on topics for young adults, who live with epilepsy, transitioning to adulthood. Topics will include:
- medical supports and services to adult health services;
- considerations on employment;
- post secondary considerations, about accessibility and supports for College and University students living with epilepsy.

- Transitioning Youth to Adult Care: How to Prepare & What to Expect
- Apply for Support – Once you turn 18, you are legally an adult. If you are receiving children’s services and funding, you will have to apply for adult supports. Alberta has four programs that offer funding and/or support to adults. To apply for these, you will need a social insurance number (SIN), bank account, and government photo identification (ID).
