FAQ

The webinars are offered free of charge. To register for live sessions you are expected to register though the live links for each session. Resources and webinar recordings are available for free by visiting the webinar pages.

Sessions are delivered using Zoom, in a webinar format. Registered participants attend the live sessions online. participants are invited to submit questions about the session in advance, so presenters can address their questions. A Q&A session is led at end of each live webinar to address additional questions. The webinar page contains links to recent research and useful information about the topics discussed at the webinar. Edited recordings of the webinars are posted after a live session and are available to everyone for free.

To participate I a live webinar you must register through the registration link, provide your name and email address. You will be asked to submit questions you may want the presenters to answer during the session.

The Alberta Epilepsy Education Webinars for the 20221-2022 season will include nine (9) live presentations. All listings with confirmed topics are available at the Current Sessions page.

Presenters are selected from clinicians, researchers, epileptologists and renowned specialists in their respective fields. The series will strive to offer perspectives from around the Province of Alberta.

The Alberta Epilepsy Education Webinars are a joint, collaborative education project between the Epilepsy Association of Calgary (EAC) and the Edmonton Epilepsy Association (EEA). The EAC and EEA are registered charities with more than six decades of community-led support for awareness, education and programs for people who live with epilepsy and their caregivers.  

The current maximum capacity for registered participants to the live sessions is 500.

Currently there is no direct donation to the Alberta Epilepsy Education Webinars’ project. However the EAC and the EEA always accept donations to their respective causes, as they support the south and northern regions of Alberta. Visit the About Us page to access their websites. Absolutely. These sessions are open to everyone who wishes to participate. Times for the sessions are set in Alberta N\Mountain Standard Time (MST) and are currently offered only in English.

SimplyK is the registration platform we use to register participants to the live sessions. Participants access the registration link through SimplyK and then receive access to the Zoom link for the live webinar.

The EAC and EEA have plenty of resources and information about epilepsy. Additionally, the current and past session pages on the Alberta Epilepsy Education Webinars contain detailed information on specific topics, discussed during the webinars and specifically curated for the website.
