“Dr. Jirsch received his medical school training at the University of Toronto and later completed his neurology residency at McGill university in 2003. Next, he completed a fellowship in Epilepsy both at McGill and Columbia university in New York. He was Assistant Professor at the Montreal Neurological Institute for 4 years before arriving at the University of Alberta in 2009.

His interests are in medically-refractory epilepsy as well as seizure disorders in the critically ill. “
