Presentation synopsis

Dr. Swarnalingam will discuss about Developmental Epileptic Encephalopathies ( DEE ) which are a group of rare and severe epilepsies that are characterized by both seizures and encephalopathy. DEEs are characterized by Both seizure and non seizure manifestations, both of which place a significant burden on patients and caregivers. It is important to recognize these developmental, behavioural and cognitive challenges that the patients with DEE face beyond seizures and also to explore how these challenges can be addressed.
