Janette Mailo
MD PhD, Pediatric Neurologist and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, at the University of Alberta and Stollery Children’s Hospital, Edmonton.
She completed medical school and residency training in Pediatric Neurology at the Stollery, University of Alberta. Following completion of residency, she spent two years at Western University, in London, Ontario where she received further mentorship in neonatal neurology and neonatal and early life epilepsy. During her time in London she also received neurophysiology training after which she successfully passed Canadian EEG exam and joined Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists.
After joining pediatric neurology division at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, University of Alberta in Edmonton as an assistant professor, she became a co-lead for the newly developed neurocritical care program. Her main clinical and research interests are neonatal and early life epilepsy as well as and multimodal neuromonitoring in critically ill neonates and in children.
